I graduated from West Point in 1955 and was commissioned in the USAF; I completed flying school in 1956 and spend the next 15 years flying jet fighters including 160 combat missions in SEA. My final assignment in the USAF was the director of Physical Education at the US Air Force Academy. After retirement in 1977, I returned to St. Petersburg and immediately got into the real estate business in a number of areas. In additional to the usual brokerage activities, I got my real estate instructors license, spent 17 years as an Instructor for the Bert Rodgers Schools of Real Estate and I continue to offer specialized training in commercial real estate practice. With other partner, I developed condos, office buildings and an industrial park in Tampa. The biggest project was The Cloisters on Beach Drive, a 14-story high-end condo project in downtown St. Petersburg, which was completed in 1999. In addition to a Certificate of Real Estate from the University of Colorado, I have achieved the Florida Association of REALTORS Realtor’s Institute GRI designation (1982) and the National Association of REALTORS designation, Certified Commercial Investment Member, CCIM, (1984). I am Active in local, state, and national REALTOR and CCIM organizations as well as the local business and civic community and I continue to be an active participant in the overall real estate business. My Wife, Lynn, and I have two sons and a daughter, all of who live in Florida. Blaine, my oldest son is a CCIM Designee and a national CCIM Instructor.
